What Makes Curative Hypnotherapy Different?
Curative Hypnotherapy is distinguished from all other forms of hypnotherapy primarily by its use of logic. A Curative Hypnotherapist approaches each patient with no theories or preconceptions – except for one – that the answer to each patient’s problem lies within that patient’s subconscious mind.
A Curative Hypnotherapist will not suppress symptoms and will not need to teach you to manage or cope with your symptoms. A Curative Hypnotherapist will not apportion blame nor make any judgements.
The treatment is comfortable, gentle and safe
There is no requirement for the patient to experience any unwanted emotions, to relive any traumatic event or incident from their lives or to experience any unpleasant memories or emotions.
Upon successful completion of treatment the patient will have lost their problems completely and permanently, without any need for back up or booster sessions, leaving the patient to get on with the life they choose, with no need to avoid certain situations, places or people.
Hypnotherapy – An Overview
Hypnosis
Is a state of relaxation in which the individual is aware of their surroundings and of what the therapist is saying. It is not being asleep or unconscious – simply a relaxed state in which the person in hypnosis remains in control the whole time.
Hypnotherapy
Is the use of this state of relaxation to suppress or change symptoms, but this leaves the cause of the problem untouched to create future problems.
To simply suppress symptoms, find substitute symptoms or attempt to persuade those with problems that their therapist knows what is causing their problem can, at best, make the problem temporarily more bearable. Where this type of Hypnotherapy is employed, the “need” for a symptom is likely to make itself felt again in the future – possibly by means of a more distressing complaint.
Curative Hypnotherapy
Is the use of hypnosis to uncover and correct the cause of symptoms, enabling a complete and permanent cure to be effected.
Many psychologists and counselors also use hypnosis in their practices, but there are many different types of hypnotherapy treatments. Two common forms of hypnotherapy are:
Eriksonian Hypnotherapy, which is a collection of techniques which aim to deal specifically with a particular symptom, rather than the reason why it exists
And
Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), which can broadly be explained as ‘behaviour modification’, helping people to manage their problems and find easier ways to live with them.
However, using Curative methods, with the Cause corrected, the symptom will automatically disappear, without the need for symptom treatment or management.
Lesserian™ Curative Hypnotherapy
In recent years many practitioners have incorporated the word "Curative" in their literature, although their use of hypnosis is not the same as that described above. To mark the difference between those with basic qualifications and those practitioners who continue to increase their skills and knowledge for the benefit of their patients, the Lesserian™ trademark and tradename exist. A licensed therapist will be able to produce a copy of their licence on request.
THE ONLY WAY TO CURE ANY PROBLEM IS TO FIND – AND THEN CORRECT – THE CAUSE
