What is the meaning of the initials after a therapist’s name?

 

C.Hyp – Certificate qualification in Curative Hypnotherapy.
Those who show the Certificate qualification have demonstrated by externally accredited examination, their understanding of the Curative uses of hypnosis and their ability to use hypnosis for the maximum benefit of their patients.

 

D. Hyp – Diploma qualification in Curative Hypnotherapy.
The diploma is the higher-grade qualification. This signifies that, having gained the Certificate qualification and been in practice for a minimum of two years, the therapist has undergone advanced training/clinical supervision and their abilities and experiences have enabled them to successfully pass the independent, externally accredited Diploma Examination in Curative Hypnotherapy.

 

MOCH – Member of the Organisation for Curative Hypnotherapists.
Those who show this designation have gained a qualification in Curative Hypnotherapy, been received into membership of a recognised professional hypnotherapy organisation and have chosen to specialise in providing Curative Hypnotherapy.

 

MOCH (Acc) – Accredited Member of the Organisation for Curative Hypnotherapists.
Those who show this designation fulfil all requirements of membership (above) but have either achieved their Diploma qualification or by production/examination of case work have proved their abilities to provide Curative Hypnotherapy treatment to a standard of excellence.

 

MHS / LHS – The therapist has been accepted into membership of the Hypnotherapy Society.

 

MHA – The therapist has been accepted into membership of the Hypnotherapy Association

 

GQHP – General Qualification in Hypnotherapy Practice; awarded by the General Hypnotherapy Register

 

LCH / Lesserian® – The therapist's continued high standards and abilities have enabled them to be licensed as a Lesserian Curative Hypnotherapist.

 

MNRHP - The therapist has been accepted into membership of the National Register of Hypnotherapists & Psychotherapists
